About Puttronome

Puttronome is a precision metronome app designed to help golfers build a repeatable, reliable putting tempo. By providing carefully timed audio cues, it supports more consistent practice and better touch on the greens.

The app can be used on its own or alongside compatible training hardware, such as The Move by Lotus Golf Company.

Getting Started

Install & Open

  • Install Puttronome from the App Store or Google Play.
  • Open the app and grant any requested permissions.

Basic Use

  • Set your desired tempo (BPM) in the app.
  • Adjust any available ratio/timing options.
  • Tap Run to start the metronome.
  • Tap Stop to pause.

Troubleshooting

I do not hear any sound

  • Check that your device volume is turned up and not muted.
  • On iOS, make sure the silent/ring switch is not set to silent.
  • If using Bluetooth speakers/headphones, confirm they are connected and selected as the audio output.
  • Close and reopen the app if the issue persists.

The tempo feels off or uneven

  • Verify that the BPM and ratio settings are set as intended.
  • Disable aggressive battery or power-saving modes that may limit background audio timing.
  • Restart your device and try again if needed.

The app is frozen or unresponsive

  • Force close Puttronome and reopen it.
  • Restart your device.
  • If the issue continues, delete and reinstall the app.

Does Puttronome work offline?

Yes. Core metronome functionality is designed to work without an internet connection.

Do I need special hardware?

No special hardware is required. However, Puttronome also complements The Move hardware system for additional training options.

Can I use headphones or Bluetooth speakers?

Yes. You may use your device’s speakers, wired headphones, or Bluetooth audio. For best results, connect Bluetooth audio before starting playback.
